A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 has struck Turkey and parts of Syria. The destruction has affected millions of people and levelled building in cities across Turkey and Syria. Search and rescue efforts are underway during freezing temperatures. Families are mourning their loved ones and many more are trapped among rubble – we must act now!
The death toll is currently at 47,000 and continuing to rise. Many buildings and apartments have been flattened by the quake. The full extent of damage to infrastructure is not yet clear.
